The Biostat Lakesaver system
has a compressor and control system situated on
shore where there is a power supply. An air line
system is installed around the bottom of the water
body.
The line releases small bubbles
of air in a controlled even fashion. The columns
of air bubbles rising from the lake bottom forces
oxygen depleted water to the surface where is
picks up oxygen and returns it to the bottom.
Fine bubble diffused aeration
is a very efficient process.
However, equally important is
that it produces excellent mixing and movement
of water which reduces the potential development
of anaerobic sediment, improves water quality
and stabilises the environment.
The efficiency of fine bubble
aeration is very high in comparison with other
aeration and circulation systems
