What we do
Biostat Engineering has been combating Iron and Sulphate bacteria for nearly 10 years. Essentially developing a small down bore hole Electro-chemical system for controlling Iron bacteria.
To date, systems are manufactured for any size borehole, with most of the treatment process-taking place at the surface. Pumpmates are installed in Australia and Papua New Guinea. We are specialists in the field of iron and sulphate bacteria problems.

Personal Note from Founder:
My company has made me more friends than you could imagine. I am still amazed that people will pay money for something I made. When I am in our factory I like to sit and look at the equipment we make, it gives me great pleasure.
I am proud of the fact that our equipment not only looks good, but it works well and is very reliable. It has taken over ten years to achieve the standard I wanted. Our products are built to industrial standards, there is no junk used, we even use 316 stainless steel washers on our bolts.
During the early days of the company it was great to go back and visit an installation of our equipment in some remote part of Australia, mainly because that was where most of the installations where. The first piece of equipment installed locally is not that far from my home.
Now, whenever I drive by, I find myself being shouted down by others in the car with joking howls of:
“Yes we know! Look over into that park. Do you see that green thing?” and so on. Thankfully it is hard to visit many places now without running into something we have made.
Early experiences set the standards: Make it well, make last and make it work.
