Mineral encrustations, biofouling of the pump and deep well screen and surrounding formation are a major contributor to bore and pump reduced capacity. The deposits can be hard or soft sludge like material.
These deposits affect the inflow capacity of the bore by blocking the slots or holes in the screens: and the outflow capacity by blocking the flow of water into the pump intake.
It is expected over time; almost all bores and well will expirenece some loss in specific capacity. One of the common reason is the result of biofouling (clogging).
Early intervention will ensure at the very least, that a bore with reduced capacity can be rehabilitated.
If the capacity of the bore has declined by 20 to 25% it is prudent to initiate an investigation rehabilitation procedure. Delay can significantly increase cost.
Flowell is a propriety polymeric formulated blend. Flowell contain all the chemistries needed to achieve positive results and get the water flowing again.
